Read MoreI hired Freckled Fox for my wedding and she did not disappoint! We had to have a small covid wedding in our backyard. She was available for contact and a meeting (masked up of course - thank you!) in the months leading up to our big day which was wonderful. Every couple of weeks she would check in just to see if we needed anything: recommendations, scheduling, etc. She's a well of wedding knowledge. She ultimately helped us with the layout of the wedding, scheduled the day and even helped with the decor. April knows what will ultimately make a shot more special & beautiful. She made sure to ask about what shots would be important to us as well as made helpful suggestions. On the big day she was timely and very professional - she ended up serving as a bit of a wedding planner for us too as we didn't have one! She did a wonderful job of scouting out locations beforehand for first looks and sunset photos after the ceremony. Super sweet & understanding if we didn't have many ideas (because of the shift to a smaller wedding). We also realized we went to high school together which made the evening that much more special! Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend April and would use her again for any future photoshoot! 10/10/10 across the board!

I also wanted to share my story for anyone thinking of booking - DO IT. A little backstory... My fiancé and I booked her back in February 2020 to photograph our wedding which was planned for June 2020. I spent a lot of time researching photographers in Arkansas and once I found Freckled Fox, I knew that she was the one! Her portfolio clearly speaks for itself and it's obvious that she has an extraordinary gift for taking photos with a natural, organic feel. But when the pandemic hit in March and we made the difficult decision to postpone our wedding indefinitely, April was completely understanding and supportive. She would check in with me periodically to see how our plans were coming and even sent us little notes and things to cheer us up. It really helped us stay positive and focus on what mattered most. In the end, we knew that even if none of our loved ones could be there, we still wanted to get married and we still wanted April to capture the images from our big day. I'm so grateful for her patience as we worked to find a new date that worked for her and us and make entirely new plans, especially during an already stressful time.
The day of, she wore a mask the entire time and followed all safety precautions, making us feel comfortable. We ended up scrapping the idea for the large 100+ person wedding we had originally planned for and had an intimate courthouse wedding in October 2020 (just us, April, and the officiant) and a family-only, socially distanced reception at our home, and were so glad we did. The photos from that day turned out so beautiful and I've received many comments from those who weren't able to be there that they could see my husband and I's love for each other through the pictures, which makes them especially meaningful. We will cherish our wedding photos forever and can't wait to work with April again for future photography sessions.

I often find myself going through our gorgeous tabletop book reminiscing every detail of the day. I can hear the cello playing, smell the fall breeze, feel the fog as it rolled through the greenway, and taste the tears of joy I had as I cried and hugged my best friend. All of those tiny moments, all of those tiny details Freckled Fox captured.
Most of all however, I can see my grandfather’s face and hear his voice as he officiated our ceremony. The memories flood over me knowing it was only a short time after that we lost him. Those moments, you don’t want in the wrong hands. You want them with someone who treats you like a sister, a best friend, the one that will hug you, hold your hand when you need them too and let you know how wonderful the day is going to be. April with Freckled Fox was the sister no one told me I would have and get to keep.
Since our first meeting we connected on a level much deeper than wedding coordination. I am thrilled that in the upcoming years I will continue to have April by our side to capture our family as it grows. After all, she was there from day one when we became a family.
I don’t just recommend her for the amazing artistry of her work, but I recommend you book her and find out you’ve hired much more than a photographer.
April is easily the best choice I made as far as wedding planning details! She treats me like a friend and has a warm and calming nature to her, making me feel so comfortable in front of the camera. April has the ability to capture special candid moments I will never forget. I got married a year and a half ago and STILL get compliments on the photos April captured. As a somewhat particular client, April was patient, great at communicating, and helped us narrow down exactly what we were looking for - we felt like she becane a good friend. April thought of everything and added nice/ thoughtful touches to our wedding day. She is detailed in her work and captured all the special moments of our day beautifully. For us, April didn’t just shoot our wedding, but became apart of our day. She is very peaceful and did not add any extra stress to our day. April also made great suggestions (since she’s been to a few weddings😉), but she isn’t pushy. We couldn’t have picked a better photographer! A lot of our friends and family are in the photography world as well, but we wanted them to be fully present and not behind the camera. Best decision.
